Hey everyone. I'm sad to say that today I had to have my beloved cat Roxy put to sleep. Long story short, she had tumors on her kidney and liver and not a lot could be done to help her. I had her for seven years exactly. I was looking at the adoption papers the other day and saw that I had adopted her on 4/27/05...exactly seven years ago on this date. Weird right? It still hasn't really set in yet that she's gone. This past week was hard....just knowing what was coming. I felt so bad that she didn't have a clue what would happen today. It was very hard to leave the vet this morning. I've gone through pretty much every phase of death: denial, anger, guilt, acceptance and back again. Some people might say "It was just a cat" and might not get why I'd be so upset. Those people obviously have never had a pet. To me, she was more than that. She was like a kid to me, I don't care how stupid that sounds. She was the first pet that was actually "mine". I adopted her. I know she's much better off now and she's no longer in pain. I imagine she's chasing a ball of yarn and sunbathing up in kitty heaven. This whole thing is still very fresh and I've been quite the rollercoaster of emotions today. I've been trying to keep my mind occupied all day by watching funny movies and browsing Pinterest. But this is the worst part. When it's time to go to bed and I'm left alone with my thoughts. This was always the time of night that Roxy would curl up beside me or even lay on my chest while I slept. Of course my instinct is to go right out and adopt another cat but I know that I need time to heal before I do anything. Trust me, I've read everything there is to know about losing a pet or dealing with the loss of a pet. So please be patient with me while I deal with this.

Collective Purchases & Target haul!
Happy Friday the 13th! I, for one have been having and exceptionally lucky day. First off, I didn't have to work today. So I got that going for me. Second, I found some great things while shopping today. Plus I have a few things I've purchased over the last month or two. Warning: Picture heavy. So let's goooo!
To start, I bought this super awesome switch plate from this Etsy shop. A tad nerdy? Yes. But I still kind of love it.
Next, I picked up a few things from The Christmas Tree Shop. Have you guys ever heard of this place? It's amazing. Don't let the name fool you, it's not necessarily holiday related. They have a bunch of home decor, cookware, dishes, FOOD, bath and beauty items and so much more! Definitely check them out. Oh and if you can't see from the pic, the prices are super amazing too!
I recently got an iPhone so of course I had to go crazy on eBay shopping for phone cases.
Speaking of ebay...I got this shirt for a steal last week. Go Bruins!
Another ebay purchase.
I finally tracked down the Revlon "Whimsical" polish at Ulta a few weeks ago. They were having a buy one get one half off or something so I picked up this pretty pink glitter too.
I almost squealed (no pun intended) when I saw this cute timer at Bed Bath & Beyond last month. Makes me want to cook more!
I got these mint jeans from Kohl's from the LC line. I was hoping they were going to be a bit lighter in person but I do like them anyway. They are very stretchy which is nice! And I like the ankle length since I'm 5'3" and most pants are too long for me.
Next from Kohl's I got these flats from the Vera Wang line. I'm loving the cap toe and the spikes! I wouldn't wear these if you plan to do a lot of walking though, they were rubbing on my ankle all day.
Now, onto my Target haul. Most of these things were bought within the last month so they should still be there.
I seriously almost died when I saw this purse today. It's perfect. The color, the size, the price. Plus, I think it's bit reminiscent of the Rebecca Minkoff bag I've been coveting forever. Go get it. Now.
I couldn't pass up this cute headband. Navy and polka dots? Yes please!
These shoes were a steal at $12.99 (check stores, I saw them marked down to $9 today). The yellow is actually really bright, like highlighter yellow. And the ones on the right are an army green but they look gray in this pic.
I picked these shoes up for around $8 shortly after Christmas. I got a size 8 which is kind of big but I would probably wear them with tights anyway so it's not big deal. I just love the color, I have nothing else like these in my closet.
I also picked up the new BB Cream that everyone is talking about. I've heard mixed reviews so I just wanted to try it our for myself. I hope it works so I'm not out $12!
Last but not least I picked up the third book in the Hunger Games series. I still haven't finished the first book yet (I'm such a slow reader sometimes!). I don't want to see the movie till I've finished the book so no spoilers please!
If you've made it this far, you're awesome. Sorry for such a long post but I guess that's what happens when you post as sporadically as I do. Off subject, but every time I use the word "sporadically" I think of the scene from Clueless where Cher is teaching Tai "new" words. Anyone who loves this movie as much as I do will know what I'm talking about.
Hope everyone has a good weekend. It's supposed to be nice and I have to work. Figures. Oh well I'll enjoy what I can!
Happy Friday :)
xoxo

Easter Nails
Hey guys! I hope everyone had a fabulous Easter. Mine was fairly uneventful. Church, breakfast, brunch. My fiance and I actually didn't eat at the brunch as we were still full from breakfast. We did however....um....drink. Hey, it's a holiday right? Anywho....here's my nails from yesterday as well as a few others I found in on my computer that I don't think I've shared yet. Enjoy!
OPI - Strawberry Margarita
This was from St. Patrick's Day - sorry for the blurry pic
OPI - Jade is the New Black
Love & Beauty - Glitter Lime (here)
Sinful Colors - Glass Pink (I think that's the name)
Essie - Set in Stones (from my Birchbox)
I LOVED this combo and will probably do it again soon
Meh. I wasn't super happy with this one.
Orly - Emberstone (I think)
OPI - Black Shatter (I think mine's about had it. It went on really lumpy.)
Essie - Pink a Boo
I love this color! It does go on sheer and kind of streaky though. But that doesn't stop me from loving it!
Well since my Easter mani is starting to chip, I better go figure out what color I want to wear next!
Happy Monday!
xoxo

Easter
Hey everyone! Just wanted to stop by and share my Easter outfit for tomorrow. Actually most of the things below aren't what I'm actually going to be wearing. The only thing I got right was the jeans. I still haven't decided between skinny jeans or flare jeans. I am wearing nude pumps (mine are from Shoedazzle), I am wearing a flow-y blouse (mine is from JC Penny but mine wasn't plus size and I just bought it in the store for $20 on Wednesday but it's online for only $10! Not cool), and I'm carrying a lavender bag (not a Balenciaga!). After church we're continuing our tradition of going to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. Then we'll probably just come home and lounge in the sun the rest of the day :)
